Before we continue, it is important to have lha and installer copied to your C: drawer on your boot HD (where workbench is installed, in this case I've called the boot HD System).

a. Please make sure you have downloaded and copied lha.run and Installer-43_3.lha to C:\Program Files\WinUAE\Hard Disks\Programs directory.

b. Next re-launch the WinUAE program, left click the config you made, click the Load button and click OK/Start to start emulation.

If you have already setup lha.run then click here for setup instructions on Installer

Setting up lha.run: Click here if you would like to extract/decompress all your lha files first.

After copying lha.run to C:\Program Files\WinUAE\Hard Disks\Programs directory, starting winuae (as explained above) and workbench has booted (you should see Ram Disk, Programs and System).

1. Double click System, double click the next System drawer in the window that opened, and then double click the Shell program to open Amiga DOS. Amiga DOS is similar to MS-DOS but is much better ;-)

2. Now type: Programs:lha.run Ram: and press Return/Enter

3. Type: Copy Ram:lha_68020 C:lha and press Return/Enter

You should now have lha installed. (You will notice three different versions of lha optimised for three different CPU speeds. The one we are using is optimised for the 68020 CPU.) Now we can decompress our files.

Click here if you would like to extract/decompress all your lha files first.

Remember to follow all steps 4 to 7 below and copy installer to the C: drawer/directory in sys: (your boot partition (in this case labelled System:) otherwise when you try to run an install script you will get the following error Unable to open your tool 'Installer'

Setting up Installer: Please make sure you follow the above and have lha copied to the C: drawer/directory in sys: (your boot partition (in this case labelled System:)

This is an imported file required to run the install scripts supplied with most program packages.

4. Next we will now be able to extract the Installer-43_3.lha archive, So type:
lha x programs:Installer-43_3.lha programs: and press Return/Enter

5. Type: delete programs:Installer-43_3.lha and press Return/Enter

6. Now type: Copy programs:Installer43_3/Installer C: and press Return/Enter

7. Type in: endcli and press Return/Enter

Installer should now be setup and ready for use.
